摘要
This essay focuses on a particular body—the figure of the elderly Filipinx migrant—in order to expose the valorization of able-bodied subjects in Filipinx American studies. It makes a compelling case for the need to crip Filipinx American studies, troubling considerations of labor that do not engage with (dis)ability and age because of the way these considerations leave in place ableist and normative assumptions that have historically structured the field.
