Power System Modal Identification Based on Prony Levenberg Marquardt

Regarding the accuracy problem of low-frequency oscillation parameter identification in the current power system, this paper proposes a new method of extracting low-frequency os cillation modal parameters, combining the Prony algorithm and the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm. First, the Prony algorithm is used to calculate the initial values of the modal parameters of the low-frequency oscillation, and then the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm is used to iterate to find the optimal values of the parameters. Through the simulation of a 3-machine 9-node system, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified, and it has certain advantages compared with the traditional method in terms of identification accuracy.
