摘要
In clinical practice, there are always complications in the field of aesthetic medicine. Using the example of a patient, it is intended to show how a supposedly minor aesthetic intervention can have protracted consequences. The patient was injected with a hyaluronic acid filler in four places on the face, which led to acute and chronic infections in three places. The main findings were recorded by MRI. The therapy consisted of a combination of minimally surgical, topical therapeutic and antibiotic approaches, which led to slow improvement. After botulinum toxin treatments, filler therapies are the most common aesthetic interventions. They are generally associated with a rather low side effect profile but can also have protracted and serious consequences. Therefore, proper medical training, knowledge of the patient and an experienced handling of the therapeutics used are basic requirements for success with the lowest possible complication rate of aesthetic treatments.
