Modelagem para otimização do transporte de cargas no complexo logístico intermodal porto sul

This work consists of a proposed methodology for future representation of freight transportation of iron ore from mines located within the state of Bahia for a logistics complex, including the port, which is being organized in the city of Ilheus. The methodology is designed on the basis of an analytical-descriptive study by hierarchical decomposition of the complex, involving discrete event simulation and costs optimization. The Arena software is proposed as computational resource for simulation, which should facilitate the modeling of the queue system of trains and their resources, and subsequently contribute to the modeling of the port system. Data for the simulation are being raised in the enterprise project, issued by the state government of Bahia itself as well as in equivalent existing rail operations in Brazil. As a result, the methodology proposed might be very useful in managerial decision making, especially in the optimized flow of ore extraction and necessary material resources.
