Decoupling Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Based on Predictive Current Compensation

Cross-coupling voltages of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and digital delay are inevitable in a full digital implementation, which lead to larger transient current errors as fundamental excitation frequency increases. Theoretical analysis results given in this paper prove that these problems may cause unstable response if the current controllers are not properly designed. To solve these problems, a complex vector decoupling controller based on predictive current compensation is proposed. The simulation results prove that the proposed controller can effectively reduce the effects of cross-coupling and digital delay, and achieves a better current dynamic performance compared with conventional controller.
