摘要
and treatment outcomes have significantly improved. However, there are still some patients who cannot receive any therapeutic effects. Therefore, the development of newly treatment methods are also required, and in recent years, expectations for nutrition therapies have been increasing. In the present study, we aimed to clear the anti-cancer effects of some nutritional components for lung cancer cell lines. Lung cancer cell lines A549 and HLC-1 were examined. Each sample including 1 10 cells were first treated with iron, and then exposed with fisetin (7,3’,4’-flavon-3-ol) which was a plant flavonol from the flavonoid group of polyphenols including in strawberries, resveratrol (3,5,4’-trihydroxy-trans-stilbene) which was a stilbenoid, a type of natural phenol, and a phytoalexin include the skin of grapes, blueberries, raspberries, mulberries, and peanuts, and stilbenoids gnetin C which were isolated from the seed of Gnetum gnemon as dimer of melinjo resveratrol. Correlation between nutritional treatments and cancer cell death, apoptosis and ferroptosis, were investigated by RT-PCR and immunofluorescence. The growth of A549 cells were inhibited by fisetin treatment significantly. But normal cells were not inhibited. Further, ferroptosis may also correlate with cancer cell death by these nutritional treatments depending on iron.
