摘要
PURPOSE: The goal of this study was to investigate the metabolic markers and circulating adipokine profiles in normal versus overweight and obese aged women with different physical activity. METHODS: A total of 104 women, aged 50-77 years, were included in this cross-sectional study. Body composition was measured by the DXA (GE Lunar Prodigy, USA). Serum circulating adipokines and lipid and glucose metabolism makers’ levels were determined by radioimmunoassay. Waist-mounted triaxial accelerometer Actigraph GT3X-BT was used to make objective 7-day recordings of physical activity. Based on the mean of the minutes spent in moderate to vigorous physical activity (180 min/week) and BMI, subjects were divided into four groups: Normal Low MVPA group (n = 13), Normal High MVPA group (n = 18), Obese Low MVPA group (n = 34) and Obese High MVPA group (n = 39). RESULTS: All metabolic markers (HOMA-IR, insulin, triglyceride, PBF) and circulating leptin were higher in Obesity than Normal group (all p < 0.01), adiponectin level was lower in Obesity than Normal group (18.5 ± 13.2 VS 28.1 ± 13.1 μg/ml; p < 0.01). Level of HOMA-IR, insulin, triglyceride and serum leptin and adiponectin were similar between NL and NH, OL and OH (all p > 0.05). However, PBF of OH was lower than OL group significantly (37.9 ± 4.6 VS 40.6 ± 4.7%; p < 0.01). All metabolic markers and serum leptin were higher in OH than NL group (1.75 ± 0.98 VS 1.08 ± 0.55;7.5 ± 3.5 VS 4.9 ± 2.6μU/ml; 1.44 ± 0.66 VS 1.06 ± 0.37 mmol/L; 37.9 ± 4.6 VS 30.8 ± 3.6%;10.9 ± 7.1 VS 5.1 ± 4.1 ng/ml; all p < 0.05), adiponectin level was lower in OH than NL group (16.2 ± 11.1 VS 27.3 ± 13.2 μg/ml; p < 0.01); Levels of HOMA-IR, insulin, PBF were higher in OL than NH (2.24 ± 1.53 VS 0.97 ± 0.23; 8.9 ± 0.23 VS 4.6 ± 1.1μU/ml; 40.6 ± 4.7 VS 31.7 ± 4.2%; all p < 0.01), however, leptin and adiponectin levels were not found significant differences in OL and NH group(both p > 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Leptin and adiponectin might play a role in protecting against obesity-associated cardiometabolic derangements. The level of circulating adipokines and body composition might be moderated by physical activity. Further research is thus required to clarify the clinical significance of such findings.
