Hybrid design of magnetoelectric position sensor with CAN compatibility

摘要
The paper is devoted to the study of magnetoelectric crankshaft position sensor with signal processing based on symmetrical magnetostrictive-piezoelectric layered structure, material of piezoceramic PZT - Metglas composition. Proposed sensor would have the advantages against the traditional sensors such as smaller size and weight. Piezoceramic composite in our case had length of 70 mm, width of 12 mm and thickness of 0,5 mm; Metglas length of 70 mm, width was of 12 mm and thickness of one layer is 0,02 mm. The designed sensor with signal processing and CAN bus simplifies integration into automotive electronics and improves the characteristics of the previously proposed magnetoelectric crankshaft position sensors.
