BLDC motor is broadly utilized in several fields. For achieving desired motor performance, low ripple input supply and suitable speed controller is necessary. In this paper, BLDC motor performance such as torque, stator current and speed response is analyzed. The motor is fed from solar power through three phase IBC with coupled inductor. For maximum power point tracking, Incremental Conductance algorithm is used. Interleaved converter having coupled inductor helps to minimize the voltage and current ripples. PI, PID and PD controller are applied because of enhancing the BLDC motor speed response parameters such as overshoot, peak time, rise time and settling time. Controller parameters are tuned for improving the motor performance. It is found that three phase IBC fed BLDC motor with PID controller provides superior response of BLDC motor. The proposed system is analyzed using MATLAB/Simulink software.
