The invention discloses a digital attitude compensation and wave measurement system and a control method. The system comprises a control unit; a six-axis mems inertial navigation unit, a three-axis magnetometer unit, a clock unit, a storage unit, a serial port level conversion unit and a power supply conversion unit which are connected with the control unit. The beneficial effects of the inventionare that the method achieves the common observation functions of attitude measurement, attitude compensation and wave measurement in three types of ocean investigation based on the same set of hardware, improves the diversified observation capability and performances of an ocean instrument, and achieves one machine with multiple purposes. A corresponding hardware unit is additionally arranged inthe system, so the defects that existing attitude measurement and attitude compensation technology steps are numerous and prone to errors are overcome, the observation attitude of the shaking platformon the ocean site can be accurately corrected in real time, the problems that a mechanical gimbal used in the wave observation technology is inconvenient to install and large in size are solved through a digital system, and the cost, the size and the weight of an ocean instrument are effectively reduced.
