Generalized Predictive Control of Pre-compensated DC-DC Buck Converter

摘要
In this paper, Generalized predictive control (GPC) of the pre-compensated DC-DC buck converter is presented with a brief introduction of the controller. The main reason for selecting this plant is that several commercial available dc-dc converter already comes with an inbuilt controller which regulates the converter output voltage. GPC is a class of predictive controller which is currently widely used in several plants including microgrid, a distributed power system for its advantage over classical PID controller. The chosen DC-DC converter is operated in voltage mode control (VMC), and the related equations are presented in this paper. For a better understanding of the advantage of GPC over PI controller, the MATLAB simulation result is also presented.
