摘要
An in-situ high-resolution synchrotron X-ray diffraction (XRD) experiment is used to measure microstructural damage accumulation (DA) during loading of an extruded sample of the α−β titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V. A Bayesian analysis is utilised to quantify the DA by extracting microstructure distributions and their evolution from XRD line-profile data as the sample undergoes monotonic tensile loading. The Bayesian results are evaluated independently against extensive transmission electron microscopy (TEM) measurements of the starting and deformed material.
