Education in Colombia is a fundamental human right that aims to train citizens who contribute to the construction of a better society. Consequently, the organization of the education system is one of the factors that have an impact on it. The continuous training of teachers, the one that is developed during their professional practice, for the optimization of their profession, is part of this organization. There are several research studies in this regard, which show that it is a topic of global interest. The article focuses on the analysis of a particular component for the continuous training of teachers, related to the field of teaching. Authors from several national and international contexts are approached that state that the continuous didactic training of teachers still presents theoretical deficiencies that are evidenced in the classroom practices of teachers, especially in Primary Basic Education. Therefore, the authors develop the analysis of the subject, through the debate that contributes in the theoretical and practical field of the continuous didactic formation.
