Habits of the bibliographical consultation of students of Electrical Mechanical Engineering

Textbooks are widely used in university classrooms; In order to know the relation between the habits of consultation and the approval index in courses of electrical mechanical engineering of a Mexican university, a linear regression analysis has been carried out, enchanting with r = 0.25 that's mean, there is no evident relationship between these variables. The perception of the students about the library service and their needs has also been explored. The results offer guidelines for the improvement of the collection, to the extent that little-used volumes are identified, books with high demand and courses that do not have bibliographic support. These findings will impact the decision making of the collection's growth. It also raises the need to conduct research to know in depth other factors that influence the learning of students, including the teaching methodology of teachers.
