SiGeCo: Customizable peer assessment management system for teaching-learning process

Teamwork activities can create difficulties for teachers to evaluate the performance of the members. To address this challenge a peer evaluation, also known as peer assessment, is usually applied. In this article we present SiGeCo, a web system to support the management of customizable peer evaluations. SiGeCo allows creating peer assessments or use default peer assessment, improve team organization, provide effective feedback, and apply improvement strategies for teamwork. Preliminary results show that SiGeCo allows automating peer assessment management, provides flexibility for teachers to create peer assessments and positively impacts teacher decisions to improve teamwork.
