The Role of Standards in International Trade between China and Iran

Standards are results of the progress of human civilization. As a universal language in the world, standards have played an important role in international trade. Iran is an important economic and trade partner of China in the Middle East. It is also an important partner of China to promote the Belt and Road Initiative in the Middle East. Standardization plays a basic and strategic role in promoting the pursuit of the Belt and Road Initiative. Both countries’ exploration of cooperation in the area of standardization will provide a significant support for them in aspects of economic and trade facilitation, removal of technical barriers and safeguarding of their common interests.
