Research on Analytical Method of Thevenin Equivalent Parameters for Power System Considering Wind Power

In high wind power penetrated power system, the voltage stability characteristics have been changed, and the voltage stability analysis method based on the traditional Thevenin equivalent (TE) model will be difficult to apply. Firstly, the basic model of the TE and its deficiencies applied for the power system considering wind power are discussed and summarized. Then, based on the characteristics of the wind power injection current source, an analytical model of TE for power system with wind power is established, and the influence mechanism of wind power integrated on TE parameters is studied. Simplify the coupling term equivalent method by using two approximate analytical equivalent methods. Finally, the dynamic changes of four key equivalent impedances were simulated on an improved IEEE 9-node system under different wind power penetration rates and load increase factors. The results show that the two analytical TE impedances are always the upper and lower limits of the real value of TE impedance, respectively.
