Comparative analysis of material for material discharge plate of microsurfacing machine

In the microsurfacing machine the material discharge plate is of rubber material. The problem in the microsurfacing machine is that the material of the microsurfacing gets stick to the material discharge plate. There are two reasons of material adhesion. First, when the entire mixer of the machine is finished and the machine is stopped to refill the microsurfacing material again, in that time the material discharge plate comes in contact with the atmosphere, bitumen which is already sticky in nature gets harder on the material discharge plate. And the second reason to stop the machine is that when the continuous flow of the microsurfacing material goes on the discharge plate the layers of that material is formed on the discharge plate, due to which the problem occurs for the ongoing operation and there is need to stop the machine for cleaning. Due to this reason the work of the machine has to be stopped. To solve this problem a detail study of different aluminium series is done through which the chemical, physical and mechanical properties of aluminium alloys 5052, 6061, 2024, 3005 and 7075 have been studied. After the results obtained and it was found that aluminium alloy 2024 can be replaced in place of rubber material.
