IMPROVING ORAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS OF THE STUDENTS THROUGH THE USE OF VIDEO RECORDINGS

Nowadays, we are facing a deep and complex change in teaching that requires of new approaches. In this sense, this work describes an experience of innovative teaching, making use of information and communication technologies (ICT). Its development revolves around three objectives: (1) to design a method of action specifically focused on the improvement of the oral communication of the students; (2) to analyse and evaluate the improvement achieved in the communicative competence from a triple perspective: assessment by the teacher, self-assessment and peer assessment; (3) analyse the level of satisfaction on students with the new experience. The results show that students have become aware of the influence of body language in their communication process, evidencing a clear improvement on oral communication. In conclusion, we state that there is a high degree of satisfaction shown by students after this teaching experience.
