A new extension of inverse model control design to non-full rank state-space plants

In this paper the design of perfect control strategy in the LTI discrete-time state-space framework for non-full rank multivariable systems is presented. Following the recent publications it should be concluded, that the said control law is only associated with the right-invertible plants including full rank square ones. It is shown here, that the perfect control formula can also be established under zero-reference value for all MIMO non-full rank systems. Hence, contrary to the transfer-function domain, the state-space approach extends the possibility to obtain such control strategy for a wide class of non-full rank plants. This intriguing peculiarity is also confirmed by simulation examples.
