摘要
Organizing pneumonia (OP) is a distinctive kind of lung disease, characterized by patchy filling of alveoli and bronchioles by loose plugs of granulation tissue known as Masson bodies. OP can be either idiopathic (cryptogenic organizing pneumonia, COP) or secondary (secondary organizing pneumonia, SOP). COP may present without a known cause and is therefore classified as a subtype of idiopathic interstitial pneumonia, while SOP is associated with miscellaneous conditions such as connective tissue diseases, infections, tumors, radiation, and drugs. The incidence of COP was1.10/100,000, whereas the incidence of SOP was0.86/100,000, with an overall incidence of OP is 1.6/100,000. The mean age of onset of OP is between 50 and 60 years. There is no race or gender predilection. The COP usually develops after a prodrome of a flu-like syndrome associated with fever, fatigue, cough , mild dyspnea, and weight loss, which lasts for several weeks.Radiographs typically show alveolar infiltrates. As clinical symptoms and radiographic features from COP are nonspecific and similar to community acquired pneumonia (CAP), Acta Medica Mediterranea, 2016, 32: 817
