Research on the Construction and Application of Burma-Vietnam's Political Event Data Set

In order to use big data analysis and mining methods to conduct monitoring, information collection and policy making and other issues about Burma and Vietnam's current situation, this paper establishes a event data set for tracking and analyzing political events in the news released by mainstream news media in Burma and Vietnam or political events about Burma and Vietnam in the news of the international mainstream media. A system is also constructed to gather, translate, parse, classify, code real-time news data and store it into political event data set automatically, and moreover, retrieval, analysis and display functions are provided. Finally, Burmese statesman Aung San Suu Kyi's visit to China is chosen as a case study to show how this event data set is applied into visual big data analysis.
