摘要
Dead Sea is the Hypersaline Lake located at the lowest point on the earth. Measurements since 1976 until 2014 record nearly 80 cm as an annual declination average in the seawater level. In this research we are creating models to predict the seawater levels and volumes of the Dead Sea for the coming years. We also build models to predict the year at which the Dead Sea will dry. Furthermore, we create a model to find out the seawater volume that needs to be conveyed annually by the Red-Dead Sea Canal (RDSC) to balance the Dead Sea. The models are built using Arena Simulation Software which is also integrated with MATLAB to create a Graphical User Interface (GUI). The models are verified and validated. The simulation results indicate that the Dead Sea water level will continue to decline over the coming years. Consequently, the seawater volume will decline proportionally. The study concludes that the Dead Sea will dry completely after 383 years, this will happen when the seawater level reaches 730 m below the sea level.
