(Non-)symbolic magnitude processing in children with mathematical difficulties: A meta-analysis

摘要
•This is the first meta-analysis on magnitude comparison in children with mathematical difficulties (MD).•Random effect models integrate 92 effects in 1630 children between 6 and 14 years.•Impairments of children with MD are stronger in symbolic as in non-symbolic tasks.•The effects are not moderated by age.•There is no evidence for a larger comparison distance effect in children with MD.
