An Adaptive Speed Control Method For Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors

In order to achieve a higher dynamic response and better disturbance rejection performance, an adaptive speed control method for PMSM is proposed in this paper. This speed regulation scheme is composed of current predictive control (CPC) in current loop and extended state observer (ESO) in speed loop. Unlike the proportionalintegral (PI) control with time delay caused by the integration part, CPC can obtain stator reference voltages directly. The ESO can estimate both the states variation and disturbances simultaneously to form a feedforward compensation which can reduce the impact caused by them. To verify the control performance of the proposed method, a traditional PI control method under the same condition is used for comparison. Matlab simulation and experimental results validate the advantages of the proposed control method on both dynamic response performance and capacity of resisting disturbance.
