摘要
The history of the Directive 2013/35/EU starts back in 2004 with the first EU legislation addressing measures for the improvement of safety and health working conditions related to the exposure of workers to electromagnetic fields, i.e. Directive 2004/40/EC. Successive deadlines for the transposition into national legislations and enforcement of EC provisions were postponed, the content of the EMF Directive was discussed at national and European levels until the new document was issued (the mentioned Directive 2013/35/EU) and scheduled for transposition into Member States' national legislations up to 1 st of July 2016. The workshop “Safer EMF working environment in EU” hosted by the International Conference on Applied and Theoretical Electricity - ICATE 2016 offers the opportunity for a discussion panel and exchange of ideas and experience on that topic, among professionals from science, engineering, industry, administration, health and labour protection bodies. The paper follows some of the EMF Directive history and premises and presents the national experience with its transposition into national legislation in Romania.
