This study tested the immediate and longer-term effectiveness of a simulation board game designed to teach nutrition and consumer information to primary grade children. Results showed that after only four 20-min. game sessions, children who played the experimental game had learned a significant number of facts relative to a control group. These effects were maintained over 8 wk.
