摘要

•A SeMNPV bacmid without disrupting polyhedrin gene was constructed.•Six SeMNPV genes were deleted to study their role in pathogenicity and virulence.•Deletion of se5 (SeBacAL1Δ5) resulted in a 10-fold decrease in OB pathogenicity.
