OMG: An ontology-based group mobility generator
Ubiquitous and Future Networks(2010)
摘要
We present an ontology based group mobility model generator, OMG, which especially focuses on the user convenience and group mobility. Simulation models play a significant role in designing and evaluating network protocols. In such a process, it is important to use a proper mobility model for valid and practical results. However, it can be a daunting task for a protocol designer to understand the details of various mobility models, then choose, implement, and tune an appropriate mobility model. In this work, we develop a tool that provides a group mobility model based on the user's demand in an intuitive and convenient manner, using a semantic-based approach. We first extract characteristics from various group mobility models, and then build an efficient and flexible framework that can yield an mobility model satisfying a user's demand. An ontology is defined that enables associations among extracted characteristics. A user just needs to specify the demand with intuitive properties in order to obtain a network simulator code of a mobility model that satisfies the user's demand. OMG facilitates mobile network simulations with efficient support of group mobility models in order for users to create a mobility model without having to handle the details.
