Probe into the teaching of probability theory and stochastic process

摘要
The course in probability theory and the stochastic processes is one of the fundamental courses in the college mathematics curriculum. It is also a course which attracts considerable attention in the educational reform. Integrating the characteristics of the course of the stochastic process with long-term teaching practice, the author addresses issues on: (1) how to apply the idea of mathematical modeling to teaching practice; (2) how to enhance the effect of classroom instruction; (3) how to foster the student's stochastic ideological thinking and how to develop their abilities in application and scientific computation. ©2009 IEEE.
