摘要
In order to ensure the service life of welded steel members in railway bridges in winter, the fatigue performance of these members in -5 degrees C is researched through the test in this paper. There are four groups fatigue test specimens are designed, from the test data and analysis, the results show that comparing with the normal-temperature welding, the fatigue strength of the butt welding in -5 degrees C specimens after the grinding or original state of welded seam differs little after 2 millions cycles, while the unequal thickness cross butt welding in -5 degrees C specimens fatigue strength is worse than that in normal-temperature welding after 2 millions cycles, decreasing by 26.4%. In general, it is necessary for the welding in -5 degrees C to preheat and insulate before and after the welding in order to reduce the dispersion of test data, however, for the unequal thickness cross butt welding in complex structures, it is not recommended to conduct welding at the ambient temperature of -5 degrees C.
