摘要
To determine the feasibility and practical usefulness of stored volumes renda method 3D transabdominal ultrasound in compare to conventional real time 2D transabdominal ultrasound for visualizing the nasal bone (NB) in the first and early second trimester of pregnancy. The study included 280 women, single spontaneous pregnant, of median gestational age 14 weeks (range 11–16 weeks) undergone nasal bone (NB) visualization by 2D and 3D sonography with the use of Kretz Voluson 730 Expert scanner (Kretztechnik, Zipf, Austria) within a time limit of 120 s. These two methods were compared with each other. The NB was visualized by 3D and 2D transabdominal ultrasound in 274 cases (98%) and 260 cases (93%) respectively (p < 0.001) and in 278 (99.3%) with the two methods. The difference of time examination was no significant (p = 0.668). The 3D sonography is a useful tool in NB visualization at the first-early second trimester of pregnancy, providing view of the NB not always and not easily obtained by conventional 2D ultrasound. By this way, 3D increases the capacity of ultrasound visualization of NB at that period of gestation, which seem to be a powerful marker for Down syndrome.
