A Fast Evaluation Method for Power System Frequency Security Analysis

This paper analyzes the frequency response characteristics of various types of resources in power system and proposes a fast evaluation method for frequency security analysis. Firstly, refine the frequency response model of multiple resources and construct an aggregated frequency response model that considering multiple resources. Secondly, for the convenience of analytical calculation, the frequency response model is simplified based on the frequency response characteristics of each resource. Thirdly, construct a low order frequency response model considering multiple resources, and obtain analytical expressions for maximum frequency change rate and maximum frequency deviation. Finally, testing on improved IEEE 39 nodes system, and the calculation results verified the accuracy of the aggregated frequency response model considering multiple resources in frequency simulation, as well as the efficiency and accuracy of the fast frequency security analysis method in calculating frequency safety indicators.
