During-Event Mobile Energy Storage Real-Time Dispatching Method of Resilient Distribution Systems

To address the risks posed to the electric power system's safety and stability with extreme weather conditions and the high proportion of uncertain new energy sources, an optimization model for real-time scheduling of mobile energy storage to restore critical loads was proposed, based on an analysis of the resilience of the distribution system and the advantages of energy storage with minimal temporal and spatial constraints. The article presents a definition of resilience and a system resilience curve and establishes a multidimensional set of indicators for evaluating system resilience. While adhering to the operational constraints of the electrical grid, it optimizes the scheduling of mobile energy storage units and controls the switching states between grid lines. It uses mixed-integer linear programming to find the optimal energy storage unit scheduling plan with the goal of maximizing the recovery of critical loads in the system. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method in enhancing the resilience of the power system was validated through a case study of a node distribution system.
