A new species Eremogone (Caryophyllaceae) from Trkiye

Eremogone bingolense is described a new species from Bingol province (Turkiye). The new species is related to E. cucubaloides and E. dianthoides, but it differs from E. cucubaloides by the glabrous stem, sheat and pedicel lengths, length of glabrous sepals, and petals shape and size (about 2 times longer than the sepals). E. bingolense differs from E. dianthoides by inflorescence shape and number of flowers, sheath, pedicel and sepal lengths. Ecological data and conservation status of the new species are also presented. A distribution map of the new taxon and related species is provided.
