Nano-g Optical Fiber Accelerometer with Double-Leaf Spring Structure

In this paper, a high-resolution optical fiber Fabry -Perot interferometric accelerometer based on a double spring supported spring-mass oscillator for acceleration perception is proposed and demonstrated. Experimental results show that the noise floor is as low as 10 ng/Hz 1/2 at 1 Hz, enabling the two ground pulse peaks to be observed in the noise spectrum. This miniaturized optical fiber accelerometer with high resolution is suitable for low frequency measurements like micro seismic detection and structural health monitoring.
