摘要
In this study, a chemical sensor based on silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) synthesized with Cucumis melo juice extract was presented for the determination of sulfide ions. The biosynthesized AgNPs, whose solution color was yellow, exhibited a sharp surface plasmon resonance peak at 405 nm. The addition of sulfide ions changed the surface properties of the AgNPs, resulting in a decrease in the absorbance intensity of the AgNPs, and the color of the solution changed from yellow to colorless. The response of the sensor to sulfide ions was linear in the concentration range of 0.5–11.5 µM, and the detection limit for this determination was 0.1 µM. The developed sensor was applied to detect sulfide ions in real water samples and showed excellent recoveries in the range of 98.7–103.5
