Design of Slotted Patch Based Conformal Cloaks.

A hexagonal slotted patch and square shaped fractal slotted microstrip transmission lines have been proposed for demonstration of cloaking mechanism at multiple frequency bands. A metallic cylindrical object when wrapped by a conformal transmission line cloak becomes invisible. The electromagnetic waves bend around the cloak and get transmitted through the object. Forward scattering is prohibited which aids in maximum reduction of radar cross section (RCS) of the object at the cloaking frequencies. Electric field and power distribution plots depict the cloaking mechanism. The transmission coefficient of the cylindrical transmission line based cloak is high at resonance which results in its optical transparency. A microwave network model is used for analysing the system of coupled patches. All numerical simulations have been conducted in CST Microwave Studio software.
