A New Class of Sine-Cosine Chaotic Systems and Its Application to Image Encryption

Considering the chaotic system can produce sequences with good pseudo-randomness and has a comprehensive application to image encryption, we propose a new class of sine-cosine chaotic systems and corresponding encryption scheme. Firstly, a new class of discrete chaotic systems based on sine and cosine functions is proposed. Taking two-dimensional chaotic system as an example, the phase diagram, time domain diagram, bifurcation diagram and Lyapunov exponents diagram of the system are drawn to verify the performance of the systems. Secondly, we design an image encryption algorithm. Finally, the simulation results show that the information entropy of the algorithm is close to the ideal value, and it can resist clipping and noise attacks, which verifies that the sine-cosine chaotic system has good cryptographic and pseudo-randomness characteristics.
