Task Management: A Case Study on Introducing the Problem Note Management System and Xerox Benchmarking Model

The existing system of project and task management has notable flaws, making it difficult for implementers and developers to prioritize solutions and address problems in a timely manner. Unnecessary and redundant data entry further complicates decision-making processes. This research established a web application platform named the “Problem Note Management System” to improve project and task management of identified issues during system development. This case study utilized the Xerox benchmarking model to enhance efficiency and develop a user-friendly interface for project and task management by minimizing redundant data entry. The results of the new system are discussed, highlighting process-related aspects that provide clear issue status designations for developers and implementers during the benchmarking process.
