摘要
A proposed dual band MIMO antenna is designed. This MIMO system consists of four combining antenna elements in order to operate at two different bands of frequencies. It operates at 3.65 and 31 GHz with a bandwidth of about 7 GHz, and can serve micro and millimeter waves applications such as the fifth generation (5G) wireless communication systems, the sixth generation (6G) communication, and radar systems. After simulating the MIMO antenna, it was found that there is a mutual coupling between the ports. To improve the mutual coupling values, several techniques were applied such as Defected Ground Structure (DGS) and Band Gap Structure (BGS). It was found that when these techniques were used individually or together, they affected and improved the values of mutual coupling.
