Case report: Clostridium difficile infection in a patient with portal hypertension

C. difficile infection can be severe, requiring intensive care management. This case report presents a C. difficile infection in an ICU patient with a history of portal hypertension, and discusses potential treatment options, from antibiotic therapy to surgical management, according to the latest international recommendations.
