摘要
In motor drives, three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) are mostly driven by voltage source inverters (VSIs). Although the VSI-based motor drives have a simple topology and easy control, they can only operate in a step-down voltage mode. Furthermore, they suffer from issues such as high-input electromagnetic interference (EMI), high total harmonic distortion of output modulated voltage, and large common-mode voltage (CMV). The CMV generates varying common-mode currents throughout the motor, which affects the service life and operation safety of the motor to different degrees. To overcome these issues, a PMSM drive system based on a boost DC–DC converter-type current source inverter (BC-CSI) is investigated in this paper. This topology has several advantages compared to traditional voltage source inverters, including a wide output voltage range, low common-mode voltage, low-input EMI, excellent output waveform quality, and small PMSM torque pulsation. To validate the excellent performance of the researched BC-CSI in motor drives, a set of 200W 12 V DC/36 V 250 Hz BC-CSI three-phase PMSM drive experimental prototype was constructed. Through experiments, it was verified that the BC-CSI had the above excellent performance, which proved the feasibility and advancement of the BC-CSI motor drive scheme.
