This study highlights the production and characterization of siderophore from probiotic bacteria, aiming to evaluate its suitability as a carrier to treat iron deficiency anemia. Organisms were previously isolated from Chhurpi (Himalayan traditional fermented food) and their probiotic characteristics were reported.
