Low Frequency Noise and Synergy Effect in Hybrid Composites with Carbon Nanoparticles

Low frequency noise (10 Hz – 20 kHz) and electrical resistivity characteristics of hybrid composites with multi-walled and single-walled carbon nanotubes, and graphene particles were investigated. Electrical fluctuations in the investigated materials are comprised from 1/f α and generation and recombination noise components. Observed voltage fluctuations arise due to the fluctuations of the material resistance and originate from the fluctuations of number of the free charge carriers in the sample. It is found that replacement of the single-walled carbon nanotubes by the same volume and mass multi-walled carbon nanotubes leads to an increase in material resistivity and higher intensity of the electrical fluctuations.
