摘要
This paper presents a novel circularly phased array antenna operating in the W-Band. The antenna design incorporates a sparse array configuration to suppress sidelobe levels. The proposed array structure comprises a radiating sparse array integrated with an irregular interconnected waveguide-based network. The radiating sparse array employs horn antennas as radiation elements, and its optimization is carried out using a modified genetic algorithm (GA), resulting in low sparsity and low sidelobe levels. The irregular interconnected waveguide-based network facilitates interconnections among nonuniformly distributed elements and uniformly distributed input ports. Simulated results demonstrate that the antenna achieves a gain exceeding 32.5 dBi in the frequency range of 92 GHz to 96 GHz. Furthermore, the antenna allows for a beam scanning range of ±15°, while maintaining sidelobe levels below - 17 dB for normal radiation patterns and below -15 dB during scanning.
