摘要
This paper presents a cavity-backed dual-polarized frequency reconfigurable antenna based on liquid metal. Two orthogonal dipoles excited by two coaxial cables are used to achieve dual-polarization. Four movable liquid metal columns, filled in a microfluidic channel, are loaded on the four arms of the dipoles. By changing the positions of the liquid metal columns, the equivalent electrical lengths of the dipoles are changed accordingly, leading to frequency reconfiguration. Moreover, a square cavity is employed as the reflector to realize directional radiation, effectively improving the antenna’s gains. The simulated results obtained by CST software show that the antenna can operate in two working states with frequency bands of 0.68-0.76 GHz and 0.80-0.89 GHz, respectively. The maximum gains of the antenna in the two states can reach 10.3 dBi and 10.8 dBi, respectively. The isolation of the two input ports is higher than 28.5 dB.
