摘要
In this article, a statistically distributed $1 \times 8$ series fed patch antenna array (SFPAA) is proposed to achieve both single and dual-beam characteristics with highly reduced side lobe level (SLL) and half power beam width (HPBW) for energy harvesting applications. The proposed series fed patch antenna array is operating at mm-wave frequency (i.e 22 GHz-24 GHz) with a high directive gain $(\approx 15.5 \mathrm{~dB})$ with highly reduced SLL (upto 21.5dB) and narrow HPBW $\left(\approx 12.1^{\circ}\right)$. Patch widths of the SFPAA are distributed through uniform, normal, and expo-gaussian distribution to realize the antenna performance based on skewness controlling parameter $\alpha$. $S_{11}$, 2D and 3D patterns are mentioned for each distribution to make a complete study on SLL and HPBW on the basis of statistically distributed patch widths. For energy harvesting application, a schottky diode (MACOM Ma4E1317) enabled 24 GHz RF rectifier is designed to perform the RF and DC power conversion. An output voltage of 3V with 42% efficiency has been achieved.
