Multi-Beam Generation for Simultaneous Scanning Using Timed Arrays With Reduced Pointing Error

This article presents an approach to develop a simultaneous electronic scanning system utilizing the Time Modulated Antenna Array (TMAA) and a regression model. The TMA generates harmonics through inherent nonlinearity, enabling the radar to gather information from multiple directions concurrently. Leveraging a regression model, the beamforming system effectively predicts target positions within an azimuthal angle range of −50 degrees to 50 degrees. Experimental validation confirms the viability of the regression model, showcasing its accuracy in target detection and tracking.
