On the Identification of Statistically Significant Biomarkers for the Detection of Dementia

摘要
Brain anatomy is severely degraded during the progression of dementia among the elderly population. This paper makes a thorough statistical study in identifying the parameters responsible for the progression of a deadly form of dementia, called Alzheimer’s disease (AD). In connection to this, percentage volumes of cerebrum, cerebellum and brain stem have been employed for a subsequent z-test based analysis.
